Serbian fashion designer based in London Roksanda Ilincic has introduced her eesort 2018 Collection. Inspired by seventies tapestries and embedded handcrafted elements, the collection features Roksanda’s signature elongated silhouettes, volume, layering and A-line cuts.
Ilincic’s palette, she said, had sprung to mind after watching Brideshead Revisited, which explains—if explanation be needed—the ’20s pastels and a touch of masculine salt-and-pepper tailoring.
Trouser suits are new territory for this brand and perhaps something Ilincic could develop further to expand her repertoire beyond the waisted, asymmetric-hem midi dresses that are the core of what she offers.
