Amsterdam-based footwear Filling Pieces have released their Autumn Winter 2017 collection ‘MOVE WITHOUT BARRIERS’. Inspired by a nomadic Mongolian tribe and the fashion they create from the limited resources of their surroundings the brand felt a connection to these people and their ingenious approach to crafting functional footwear from natural materials, with their approach mirroring the quest for innovation and using technical fabrics.
The collection includes sneakers such as the Low Mondo Nardo Ripple, Low Top Sky Seamless, High Field Boot Sky Tsaatan, Peak Boot Heel Cap Storm and Mid-Altitude Heel Cap Tech. The High Field Boot Sky Tsaatan prepares for the cold weather as a rugged technical boot with a zipper on the tongue, lace eyelets and lace hooks fastened with rope lacing.
The Low Mondo Nardo Ripple minimalises an iconic design whilst keeping Filling Pieces recognisability through reducing the tongue and removing the signature heel padding – replacing it with a heel tab.
