Drake Tops GQ Magazine’s ’50 Best Dressed Men In The World’ List

Award-winning singer and rap artiste Drake topped GQ magazine’s ‘Best Dressed Men’ of 2016 list and we are not so surprised by the news considering how he brought back the turtle-neck sweater trend with just one look in his music video ‘Hotline bling.’ After much deliberation among the GQ staff members and top fashion experts such as Giorgio Armani, Sarah Burton, Tom Ford, Nick Grimshaw, Sir Elton John, Piers Morgan, Sir Paul Smith and Vivienne Westwood, Drake lands the number one spot. Alongside the popular singer several other well-known stylish men made the list. Among them are new comers Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis and Jaden Smith, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, British actor Riz Ahmed, YouTube vlogger Jack Harries, rapper A$AP Rocky, Poldark actor Aidan Turner, singer and producer Pharrell Williams, actors Bradley Cooper and James Norton, football manager Josep Guardiola, singer Zayn Malik, designer and actor Waris Ahluwalia, Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling, and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.GQ explains why Drake was their choice “You can’t talk about Drake in 2016 without mentioning that wool turtleneck in ‘Hotline Bling.’ The music video, which echoed endlessly around the internet, was as much a cultural moment for his awkward uncle dancing and intimate lyrics as it was for the baggy jumper, sweatpants and Timberlands. With Drake’s latest looks trending away from bright yellow top-to-toe tracksuits and towards customised sports luxe, he’s proving that it’s possible to look cool in an outfit that, in a cheaper guise, might otherwise never leave the sofa.” Drake looks dapper as he covers the magazines “The Best Dressed Men In The World” issue.Photo Credit: GQ Magazine
